… Hugh Laurie!
Emma and Hugh have been friends for a long time; they met through the Footlights, the University of Cambridge’s drama club, in which they were both members between the 70s and 80s.
They worked together in Alfresco, the crystal cube, Peter’s friends, Maybe baby and Sense and sensibility.
“She is a truly remarkable person, a very good friend, and I could not be prouder,” Laurie says talking about Emma.
During Hugh Laurie’s speech at Emma’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, Laurie talked about their breakup, revealing she “dumped me for a mime artist.”
I love Emma Thompson 
Pescando tra i miei dvd rivedo spesso SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, dove Emma è la straordinaria protagonista (ma che te lo dico a fare?) e Hugh interpreta Mr. Palmer, un personaggio secondario ma ben disegnato (marito rassegnato di una moglie chiacchierona)

Già 😁 Peccato che la sua sia davvero una piccola parte, anche se ben fatta. La moglie chiacchierona è Imelda Staunton, nota ai più per aver interpretato una antipatica Dolores Umbridge in Harry Potter. Evidentemente il suo volto la porta a dover recitare sempre ruoli poco accattivanti 😂 Questo è il destino di molti caratteristi.
