The beginnings of Emma’s brilliant career

Emma studied at Cambridge University where she became a member of the Footlights troupe.

This is a 1982 song, and yet it’s a topical argument!

The Cambridge Footlights has been the lifeblood of British comedy for decades and led to success many young actors who later became movie stars, such as Emma Thompson, Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry. They were cast together also in the awesome comedy variety show “Alfresco”, with sketches and spoofs on 80s pop culture.
