… Emma is the first person ever to win Oscars for both acting and writing?

Emma Thompson – Oscar

She is the first, and so far the only person ever to do so. She won the Best Actress Oscar for Howards End (1992) and the Best Adapted Screenplay for Sense and Sensibility (1995).
