Maybe because of the Devonshire grass, the horse farted and anyhow the actors were forced to shoot the scene. Eventually the disturbing noises were edited out of the soundtrack later.

Do you know how to view Emma’s interview on the Tonight show, taped shortly after she won the Academy Award for S&S? It was, of course, extremely funny, and I’ve not been able to find it on line.
