Emma has criticised throwaway culture
“It’s all about thinking differently, it is also about remembering how we used to live, we never used to live like this. We’ve only been mad for about 60 years.”

“If we had shown my parents how people live (today) how they will wander down the streets and coffee cup, immediately throw it away, eat throwaway, everything throwaway, they would’ve gone ‘what’s going on”.
The Earthshot Prize
Emma Thompson, Emma Watson, and many other stars (but also politicians, from London Mayor Sadiq Khan to conservative William Hague) at London’s Alexandra Palace where the first evening of William and Kate’s Earthshot Prize sponsored by the Royal Foundation is held.
The Earthshot Prize (the richest green award in the world, created and launched by prince William) awards its top five winners each with a prize worth £ 1 million (€ 1.2 million). Many celebrities but no guests flew from overseas.
Only British stars in attendance, the others (many, many VIPs) connected via Zoom.
