Kenneth Branagh is a Northern Irish director, producer, and screenwriter.
As a director he loved to experiment and range from crime stories and action thrillers to historical novels and comedies.
He has a real obsession for Shakespeare, he has starred in a series of plays of the huge Shakespearean production and he has also directed and performed some adaptations, including Henry V and Hamlet.
From 1989 to 1995, he was married to Emma and they appeared together in Fortunes of war, Look Back in Anger, Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, Dead again and Peter’s friends. During their marriage he began an affair with Helena Bonham Carter with which he was in a relationship until 1999.
Recently Emma says Kenneth Branagh’s infidelity fueled Love Actually performance. “That scene where my character is standing by the bed crying is so well known because it’s something everyone’s been through,” she affirmed. “That is… all blood under the bridge. You can’t hold on to anything like that. It’s pointless. I haven’t got the energy for it… Helena and I made our peace years and years ago” she said.
Why on earth a so beautiful woman, surrounded by good-looking and brilliant actors, fell in love with one such himself?!
